More XM Songs
I finally got around to teaching myself some stuff about my Roland’s sequencer. I’ve had that thing for years now, and I still haven’t learned how to do everything it can do yet. Once I get something solid down, I’ll put it up. Still no real time for any serious recording.
I also made a few more songs on my ds. If you have a DS, I highly recommend Nitrotracker. It’s pretty nice having a sampler/tracker that fits in your pocket. Here are those songs:
- Whistlething: MP3 - XM - Random samples from the kids’ $10 keyboard.
- FoodFight: MP3 - XM - I guess I must have been hungry.
- Kidpower: MP3 - XM - This is a song the kids made.
- dood: MP3 - XM - I like this one, it was fun to make. Only 5 samples, I pulled the percussion from a steel plate and a garbage can, the other three are my voice.
- House: MP3 - XM - This is a song about a haunted house.
- Pipe Dream: MP3 - XM - This one was mostly samples from around the welding shop. I’m not sure if it’s finished or not, but I haven’t touched it in awhile, so I’m done with it now.
- You are - in four movements.: MP3 - XM - I think I lost where I was going with this one, at some point. It’s silly though, and I like it. The samples are from my voice, a cordless drill, let’s say a vase, an open strum on an out of tune guitar, and the kids’ musical sit-n-spin. The sit-n-spin is awesome. It plays 8 or so different songs, very low tech, but the songs on it are sweet. One sounds like it’s right out of River City Ransom.
